Phd have secured the second phase of this extensive fifteen hundred property site at Sudbury.
The first phase was traditional build, gas boilers and completed by Phd in early 2025.
We then moved on to complete the five fully renewable focused properties on this site.
We now have moved onto this 2nd phase of 242 units.
The site is now powered by a commercial air source heat pump supplying energy via an underground district heating system to individual heat interface units in each property.
Underfloor heating is supplied to each units’ ground floor with radiators to floors above.
Completion of this phase is due end of 2026 with subsequent phases operating and overlapping with phase two.
An exciting and complex project, the first in the UK, with many additional renewables being introduced to new homes.
